Contraindicaciones
Si tiene alergia hipersensibilidad) a la cefixima y, de un modo general, a los antibiĆ³ticos beta-lactĆ”micos (penicilinas y cefalosporinas), o a cualquier otro componente de este medicamento (incluidos en la secciĆ³n 6). ADVERTENCIAS Y PRECAUCIONES:
En caso de tratamiento prolongado se debe tener en consideraciĆ³n la posibilidad del surgimiento de microorganismos resistentes.
The treatment with broad-spectrum antibiotics, including cefalosporines such as cefixima, alter the gut flora pudiendo occur a sobre-crecimiento of microorganisms not sensitive, among them the clostridium difficile, whose toxin is responsible for a clinical syndrome of diarrhea associated to antibiotic therapy, including pseudomembranous colitis. Patients with diarrhea, during or after antibiotic therapy, should be submitted to investigation and differential diagnosis. If confirmed pseudomembranous colitis, the treatment with cefixima must be suspended, if necessary, resort to supportive electrolyte therapy, antibiotic therapy recommended and protein supplements.
